Loenhout

I'm laying in bed right now with some server cross gut. The race today went pretty good. It was definitely a hard day with all the mud. I made it the entire race today without getting pulled which is an improvement. I was riding off and on with tonkin most of the day again. Loenhout is suppose to be the biggest cross race in the world. Each race had over 80 riders. In the junior race summerhill killed it even with last row start he rode up to the front group and ended up 5th not easy to go through over 100 riders. The kid did all that on no sleep. He has a real chance at getting on the podium come the end of jan or maybe even some rainbow stripes. Powers had a really good ride ending up top 30. Trebon was 20th after taking out a course post midway. The course posts over here are wood put 3 feet in the ground they don't really have any give. I ended up 45th after all most dying on the last lap catching back on to the group for 39th. My front wheel came out from underneath me going into one of the big motocross doubles not the rollers and i almost fell 10 feet off the side of the course. That would have tko me for sure. We have two days off and then 3 races in 4 days then it is back to d-town. Here are some photos from the world cup on wed. Joe sales is over here taking pics for the camp you can view the entire sildeshow @ http://planb.smugmug.com/gallery/2280919/2/119176685

Hofstade

Today was the world cup at Hofstade. The best part of the day was when treefarm went to get his pasta 5 minutes before we were leaving for the race. He couldn't find it in the fridge and he was all pissed about it. At the house you have to label any type of personal food. Noel called the fox to see if he knew who it was and of course it was summerhill who took, so now i think summerhill will be going back to the states in a body bag. That is why treefarm fell off the lead group today. I went okay today ended up 43rd. Tonkin and myself started in the last row along with page and absalon. Tonkin myself and powers rode almost the entire race together. With 3 to go tonkin had broken out of our group and i bridged but the tonkin hit the deck hard on a run-up. After that we where stuck in no man land and got lapped. The traffic leaving the race tonight sucked. It took us about 1 hour to go 400 meters. That's all i got. Happy Holidays.

Watchtabecke

The race in Watchtabecke went not so good for me. I got lapped by sven and was just having an all around bad day. It was also not a very good course for me. It was super flat with some mud tractor pull sections. The one funny this was it was right next to this..

Mcduff could come over for cross next year and put in 18 holes everyday and even live right on the golf course in the trailer park property. Noel said it is one of 5 golf courses in Belgium. Mcduff would also have a cross course to ride on each day and there is a lake with a beach for winston.

Last night i couldn't fall asleep until after 3 and some how broke the touch pad on my lap top. Today I got a wireless mouse so now I'm back in business. I went out for a 1 and half hour spin and then took a quick nap before dinner. For dinner els set us up with a really nice x-mas dinner with the table set with candles and everything.

Wicks was in the x-mas sprit

Tomorrow is another rest day then we have a world cup on tuesday. The world cup on tuesday is very hard with alot of sand but i had my best ride of the camp last year so i'm looking forward to it.

Rest Day

My diet of choice in Izegem

X-MAS in IzegemAfter the ride all the juniors stole all the cruisers so me and morgan had to double up to go to the store.

Here is my cruiser in izegem.
T-row we have our first race of the camp in Wachtebeke a local C2. But of course a local race in euro-land has guys like sven on the start line. J Page signed with morgan blue and will be making his debut t-row. Congrats to JP for that.

Izegem

Lance Noble is back in europe!!!

Got hit with the charge to get my bike on, 125 b/c it is over weight and also a bike. You would think the 100 to get your bike on a plane would include the over weight nope. I took the dash eight from Albany to JFK. I’m use to flying in the dash 8 considering 90% of the time out of Durango the dash 8 is the plane of choice. Unfortunately the scenery from ALB to JFK is the Hudson River instead of the 14,000 peaks on the flight to Denver. I had an 4 hour lay over in JFK. JFK has to be the worst airport in the states. I got so lucky on the flight over to Brussels. I was just about asleep when the flight attendant asked if I would move to 4f ,which was business class. Before she finished the sentence I was on my way. I still can’t believe it, I fly united all the time never have been upgraded with out using miles or easy upgrades, fly delta for the second time in 3 yrs get upgraded. Landed in Brussels and all my stuff made it noel was there to pick me up and we where off to izegem. Noel was tell me all about how he finally hit executive on mileage plus.

Got to the house and suited up and headed out for a coffee shop ride with danimal, morgan, bjorn, steve f, and some other junior who flatted. Did a little opener. Danimal and Morgan went out for another 2 hours getting home @ 5:30 putting in the hours.
Trebon has shit his pants four times in the past five minutes like his shit doesn’t stink. The cref juniors are still in Denver b/c of the storm.
I got my x-mas gifts early this year, my parents got me a new camera so I will be updating with a lot more pics soon. My bro got me an i-pod so I finally can get rid of my creative mp3 that everyone calls a tape player that weights over 2 lbs. I stopped by Kingston Cyclery on Tuesday and saw steve. Steve has to know every climb in about a 100 mile radius and he has probably done all of them at least twice. A couple years ago chops myself jesse and steve went for a ride where steve was planning on doing over 10,000 feet of climbing. On the east coast it is a task to climb over 5000 feet but unfortunately steve took a digger on a decent and got messed up bleeding from his head but he wanted to finish the ride.

NATZ

Natz didn't go to plan for me. On the 3rd lap of elite race i got my achillis stepped on. It definitly took its toll on me with two laps to go i gave up and dropped out of my group which ended up battling for 13th. I just couldn't get power out anymore. Reed took go care of the ankle saturday night taping to try to drain the fluid. Saturday night went to dinner with my parents todd meg and hat-trick. Sunday I did my finial collegent natz. I started back on the fourth or fifth row and got bunched up but was able to make my way into the lead group of 5. I tried as hard as i could to get away since we had the #'s with joey and I in the group. It got down to 3 and then jamie attacked and fell off but then i caught back on with 500 meters to go but nutted myself on the finial run-up. Rolled in for third jamie took it though and lees-mcrae won the overall. Snyder got 6th in d-1 and 8th overall he had some chain issues. I drove back to ny after the race and preparing to fly over the euro-land on wednesday. The form feels like it is finally coming around so i hope europe goes well we will see.

Missing Flights

Well I got home monday with a smooth travel day. Did some motor pacing on tuesday and study for my finial. Wednesday woke up around 7 for a 7:30 finial it went okay then did an easy ride and went in to work. After work I got a massage from elka and headed to Dr. Franks to get some SRA. Last night I met russel simmons at megs to go over taking care of winston maddie and yosh. This morning I woke up and went for a ride and finished packing up for natz. Kuhl picked me up and we headed to the airport kuhl was a little late and I wasn't able to do easy check in online. We arrived at the airport about 20 min before my flight left and there was no one at the counter. The flight was actually delayed 25 min but no one ever came out so i wasn't able to check in and make the flight. So now I fly tonight @ 6 out of d-town and then i get a red eye from phonix to boston and arrive boston at 5:30 in the morning. Not exactly the smooth travel I had on monday. Natz looks like it should be nice weather, which will be quite a change from what we have had over the last four years.

Ulster Park, NY

Well the race this weekend didn’t exactly go as planned. The travel day was just about as good as they get. Mcduff and I actually had everything go smooth. Spent Friday night at an airport hotel and woke up on cloud nine. Headed out for an easy ride then ate breakfast at Bikcums. Our waitress wasn’t to sociable. The race was filled with bad luck for me. On the first lap going into the rideup/runup mark the shark bobbled and I got stuck behind him. The next 3 laps I was chasing to try to catch on with mcduff jpows white and Johnson. On the 4th or 5th lap I laid it down in a corner and the shark attacked the group I was in so instead of being patient and recharging I tried to close the gap by bunny hopping the barriers and ended up flipping over and almost taking out Jonathan McElvery. Between the two crashes I ended up messing my brake alignment and it was rubbing on my tires. After two laps I finally changed bikes and got Mcduff bike for a half a lap then got my bike back with a training wheel on it that I proceeded to flat at the beginning of the last lap. Rode the last lap on a flat. The power felt there, so at least I can go home with that. Drove back to NY last night after the race. Lyne Bessette sent us home with some amazing baked goods. Today Mcduff and I went for an easy hour spin then hit up bacon egg and cheese saw our grandmother and kicked it at the barnes and noble with the buck. Had an awesome dinner to night prepared by mom. Dad won his walking race today and almost set a new P.R. in the 5k. Tomorrow I fly home to d-town take a finial wed morning and then fly back to providence Thursday racking in the F.F. miles this week.

TCB

Taking care of business. Today was a event filled day. Went to badminton in the morning then venture to records office to inform them that I was not graduating this term. After that I went one door down to health office and signed up to get a physical so i can do the Collegiate race for the fort next weekend at cross natz since finally they have pushed the Collegiate race to sunday so it doesn't conflict with the elite and u-23 race. I was informed by the health office i need club sports forms so i was off to pick up the forms and return to the health office. I was got my physical and this year i even passed considering last year i almost was failed due to my poor vision. Met up with Mcduff around 12 and went for a 2 hour easy ride. Mcduff took a 5 mph digger on la posta. The town was resurfacing the road so we also almost got sprayed by a water truck. After the ride i headed downtown to talk with united about changing my ticket for this weekends race and was actually able to do without getting charged. Normally they kill you on trying to change a flight 3 days before you leave. Tomorrow I will do my last hour behind the scooter of the year. Noah a.k.a gym class superstar is going to brave the elements and take me out in the winter weather. Thanks alot Noah. Then it is off to providence for the UCI race on saturday and then 2 days in Ulster park fly back monday take a finial on wedneday then back to providence on thursday for natz. Currently I'm sitting in the computer lab waiting for the CX meeting to start.

Russel The Muscle Cross

Did Russel the muscle cross today it went okay. I laid it down hard on the ice on the second lap. Got a large burse on my hip. Tried to chase back on but could only get up to third. Todd won even though he has been under the weather. The real one came in second and t-brown was fourth. The course was not your average cross course with a triple barrier section a boot camp tire running section and about 9 barriers in a 3 min lap course. At least most of the barriers you could get over. We had a good group of spectators. After the race Snyder Todd Joey and I did some shredding at test tracks.

I'll leave you with a highlight video from the colorado state champs on the flc campus.
