CX World!!! Noah S 21st!! X-Games!!

Congrats to summerhill page and compton. Summerhill I was super proud of on saturday I got the call from snyder and mcduff b/c i was @ the x-games without internet service. I always knew summerhill could pull it off and I wouldn't be surprised if he gives all the euros a run for there money at junior road worlds at the end of the summer.

Noah a.k.a. gym class superstar hit the big 21 last thursday...

Trying to get cyclist out on a thursday night during base is like pulling teeth!!! So I had to do all I could to make sure his 21st didn't end up subpar

After the bars we returned to Noah's house where schmity had gotten a keg which just turned into more trouble.

Noah actually by the end of the night poped the big question to his longtime girlfriend shannon who flew in for his 21st. She accepted so everyone should look for there invitation in the mail. I think they are planning it sometime in the spring they aren't wasting any time!!!

Friday NOAH, CHOPS, SHANNON, and myself headed up to the X-games in a aspen. It was a rough car ride let me tell you. We didn't even leave durango until 4 in the afternoon. Thanks for hagmen and his parents for opening there house to us and giving us a place to stay. I will write more on the x-games weekend and worlds t-row.

New Record!!!!!

Well today I set a new record by putting down one more wrap than last year. 6 wraps in 45 mintues but my first 5 went down in 26, 6 minutes better than last year. Will see if I give it another go next year.

Game Face!

The Opening round 3 wraps..

The crowd was large. Mapel even made an apperance with the family!!

Schmity and Noah couldn't believe what they saw.

Richard Timmons was in the house.

I started to chack a little bit on #5

My eating coach was giving me the moral support i needed to get to the next level.

Finally I finished up and didn't even puke. Mapel was proud of the grit i showed. He has been my grit coach since 04...

The photo with the man himself ! Chris the grilling master.

2 weeks left

Well I have hit the half way point of my break. It has been much more event filled compared to last year when i was nursing my broken elbow from cx worlds.

Durango has been covered in snow since saturday and the temp i don't think has gotten above freezing either.

Sunday I hit up the student life center with adigga and played some badminton. I actually got him in one out of the 4 games which is amazing considering last year i couldn't score a point.

I hit up the golf course on the skate skies with bartman on monday. I hadn't been in about 2 years so it was a site to see. I was all over the place and laid it down a couple of times. Monday night I hit up pint night it was a fun time had by all. We had a preety good size crew with most of the usual suspects out. Richard Timmons had to break out his beer card. He kils me with that thing. I think he is up 30 different beers and the goal is to reach 100.

During my break last year I set a record of 5 wraps @ RGP's in 32 minutes. This year I will attempt to at go for 6 maybe 7 friday afternoon @ 3p.m. Today I did a little opener and put down 3 in 9 minutes. I went out to fast today and bonked alittle so i think my pace for friday will be a wrap every 3 minutes. Adigga, Chris (RGP's owner) and I are still working on which combo of wraps I should go with.

Last Year my elbow was in split that could have affected my performance?

Hopefully we can have live updates.

Week and Half in D-town

Picked up mcduff and megs cats on monday once I was finally over being sick with the belgium flu.

Tuesday I had my first day of classes i only have 7 credits this year and then I will be done.

Wednesday I hit up the slopes with the Richard Simmons and L-Dog. Timmons took me out he has been over 20 times this year and he hits me WTF. Here are some pics from the day of hukin! Or whatever you call 1st time back on the mountain in 2 years.
Friday we hit the town for a little while.

Saturday Snyder and I went for a hike back in the gulch it was epic. Everest has nothing on telegraph.

Later on Kuhl and Snyder went out rallying and of course kuhl ended up....
in a ditch. Turning around.
2 hours later we got kuhl out thanks to richard timmons blazer.

Back home well almost!!!!

I have been lacking on the updates so I'll give a quick run down of the last week. Diegem was last saturday and Jpows killed it with a 20th in the Superprestige. Bjorn also had an amazing ride going 11th in the U-23 and summerhill got on the podium with another impressive 3rd. I was riding really well at diegem but didn't have luck on my side flatting off the start and riding up into 32nd with 2 laps to go but then i tossed myself on the ground hard and hit my knee on my stem and called it a day.

Sint-Niklaas ended up being a good day all around for the elites with powers and wicks going top 15 and tonkin ended up 16th and i finished up 21st. I had some minor problems but all around a good day. The same can't be said for Surhuisterveen where just about everyone had a bad day in one way or another. You could tell that everyone was starting to feel the cross stage racing catching up with them. On top of that Surhuisterveen is the longest drive 4 hours there and 4 + hours home. On arriving back at the house, I began another race to pack up for the 7:30 am departed to airport the following morning. Jamie, Morgan, and I comprised team delta as the twin towers where living large on united business class. The flight from brussels to jfk went smooth until we waited 45 minutes for our bags to come out. After the Morgan and I had our bags we said good bye to jamie and his mullet and where off to connect to newark airport. After realizing that we would not make our next flight if we waited for the shuttle we decided to take on the hustlers waiting outside of the baggage claim. It is almost like going to an market on the street and just keep on low balling until you find something reasonable. The negotiations started out at around 200 but me and morgan got it down to 80 bucks which isn't bag considering we where splitting it two ways. I wasn't not expecting much as far as quality of ride went but as it turned out we ended up rolling in a limo over newark. (Big Pimping). Nothing like having a bike box chillin in the back of a limo. We made it to newark in under an hour which amazed me considering you have to go across nyc. We made our flight with plenty of time. Of course the flight out of newark ended up taking off 45 min late so i missed my connection in salt lake and delta put me up at an airport hotel. One cool thing about long domestic flights on delta is that they have satellite tv on the plane and you have over 25 channels to pick from. Once I arrived at the hotel I went to sleep but woke up 20 min later throwing up. I have felt sick to my stomach since Sint-Niklaas and it finally all came up last night at least it didn't happen on the plane that would have sucked. My flight today is at 11:00 so i think i should make it back to d-town around 12 only a 38hr travel day. I also wrote a entrie on cyclingnews for the camp check it out it.
