Foutain Hills

Well the 1st two mtb races of the year are in the book. The TT went alright nothing great but it didn't count towards anything. The short track was tonight under the lights in downtown Foutain Hills. Todd ended up second and I had my best ST ever ending up 13th and finishing on the lead lap. It was a tough day b/c they did call ups off of reg so i got called up 76th so it was a long fight to the front. The one thing that sucks about the race was it started @ 8 so it will be a task to fall asleep before 12 tonight. Todd and I are staying with Trafton and his wife. We have been all trying to live up to his wife brothers baller status. He rolls around town in his Dodge Magnum fresh to death with his dress pants, football jersey, dress shoes, and a bottle of patron. Malibu's Most Wanted. Be a Baller

Wall Street Jounal

Wednesday I had my hardest workout of the year yet. Did a hour races sim with snyder on the mtb bike. After that i headed out the valley to do the wed TT. It was a tough day with the clouds closing in. I started the TT with a head wind and at the half way point the sky opened up on me and the wind flipped right back into my face. It brought back memories from the U-23 TT last year in the down pour. The time was alright for the 1st dead elk of the year and considering the conditions.

Yesterday snyder and I did an easy spin. We discovered that we could get some reading done by bring the wall street journal with us. Here are some facts from the ride..

Apple 100 million I-pods sold in 06
CD sales down 20% in 06
Starbucks stocks are down and brand image is suffering
IRS screwing everyone on taxes considering some tax deductions approved after tax book went to print
Apple TV is the shit.

1st race weekend

Well i finally finished up base last monday. It is always such a relief to get all the hours over with. I figured I would go up to CU Boulder this past weekend for a good weekend of racing with the fort. There was a TT, Crit, and road race. I was actually able to win the TT which i was pretty excited about it considering it was my first real effort. In the crit i just did alot of work and the same in the RR until we had a break that we had numbers in and then it was just coasting around in the pack. The weekend was cool a couple of us went on saturday night to take in the irish holiday with a car boom or two. For more complete results check out (www.noahsinger.com) to lazy to hyperlink. Today i took out the mtb bike on the lower part of the colorado trial it had a couple of snow covered parts but overall it is in great shape. Tomorrow i have a busy day it starts with a 4:30 am wake up to take richard simmons to the airport and then work at 11 followed by a mtb effort then i jump on the TT bike to go do the dead elk TT.

7 base rides

Base is almost over for the year. Friday i got out of work a little late and ended up getting snowed on four different times during my ride that is always fun. That night went to dinner with todd, meg, ned, pam, travis and his wife at tequilas. It is always difficult to go out to dinner with ned b/c he thinks half the places in town are just bars. His best quote was or we could go to jouels and just eat pretzels for dinner.

Saturday I did the cheery creek ride with todd the road was a little snow covered in spots. After that a did a valley. It always kills me how you can go on a entire ride and not see one other person riding and then u go do a valley and u see over 40 people. After my ride todd, meg, timmons and i watched the boulder cup cross races on tv. It was cool to watch a cross race on tv in america. Saturday night we headed over to todd and megs for dinner and movie. O if anyone hasn't seen jackass 2 and is thinking about it don't watch it when eating.

Yesterday I did the silverton and back ride. timmmons went kicked it with me to the top of coalbank and then flipped. Coalbank was in good shape but the backside of molas was like decending down a river but I actually go stuck behind a plow which was good b/c it kept me dry. Doing that ride has a lot of stopping and going at the top of each climb b/c you basically had to put on about 4 layers to make it down without frezzing to death and then after 5 min of climbing everything was unzipped. Today I think i'll do the aztec loop it is suppose to be 60 + down there so i think the legs and arms will be coming out today.

10 days left of base

Yesterday I did my first Navajo Dam of the year with schmity. It was a tough day to do the loop because we had a stiff head wind for the 20 mile stretch of rollers that just seem to never end. It was schmity's first time doing the ride. It is a long loop inbetween 110 and 120 miles just about with 20 miles to go schmity hit the wall hard. I had to give him a couple pushes on the way home to help him out and keep him motivated so we could make it home before dark. Todd and Meg returned from their 2 and half month trip last night. This weekend I have some big rides planned I think saturday I will try the aztec dirt loop again hopefully this time richard timmons doesn't have to come pick me up because it is dark out. Last time i left around 11:30 this time I think i'll try to be out the door by 10:00. I think me and timmons might go see a mtb movie at the abbey tonight about the start of mtbing. That is all i got now it's off to work and then hopefully i'll have time for a normal aztec loop.
